GS Shop to bring forward sunglasses sales to meet travel demand

GS Shop Co. announced Wednesday that it will begin the sales of sunglasses one month earlier than last year as demand for overseas travel is expected to soar this year.

According to a survey by GS Shop in January, 96.5 percent of its customers said that they have overseas travel plans this year. Three out of 10 respondents had plans for overseas travel in March.

GS Shop plans to promote vacation products starting next month to serve customers opting for early vacations.

The company will debut VEDIVERO sunglasses and American Tourister luggage on March 2. From March 1 to 3, GS Shop will focus on promoting travel products tailored for destinations such as Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Japan.

“There appears to be a robust and sustained resurge in demand for overseas travel,” said Baek Jang-mi, managing director of GS Shop‘s fashion team.
