South Korea’s Eugene Corp. has obtained additional certifications for environmentally-friendly ready-mixed concrete (RMC), taking a pioneering role in achieving green growth.
The company announced Monday that it has obtained the certifications for four specifications of low-carbon RMC products from the Ministry of Environment. The newly certified product specifications include 25-21-120 Seoul Capital Area, 25-24-120 Seoul Capital Area, 25-24-120 Gangwon Province, and 25-27-180 Seoul Capital Area.
The certified products are labeled in the following order: Maximum dimension of coarse aggregate (mm) - Strength (MPa) - Slump (mm).
With the recent certification, Eugene now holds environmental performance label certifications for a total of 71 specifications. The environmental performance label is a system operated by the Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute (KEITI) under the Ministry of Environment.
It quantitatively represents the environmental impact throughout the entire process, including raw material extraction, production, transportation, and distribution, aiming to enhance the environmental performance of products and services.
