Daum to revamp PC version for the first time in seven years

Kakao Corp., which operates Daum, said in a recent notification that it will redesign the site, which will now have box formats for grouping related content from news, sports issues, and shopping sites. The new site will be rolled out on February 27th, 2024.
According to the notification, the main page will be changed into a simpler layout with a focus on trending headlines and news articles.
In the News Box, a news aggregator, top headlines will become available on the top, followed by News For You and a list of media outlets. New features to be added to the news section include links to the most viewed news articles from the past three hours.
Entertainment and Sports sections will appear in box format under the News section. The Caf?-Story will show popular blog posts from Kakao‘s community blogs, including T-story, Brunch Story, and Kakao Story.
In addition to major changes, other features will be added, including “Today Bubble,” which analyzes entertainment and sports searches from various web sources.
