Daesang introduces U.K. curry brand Patak’s in Korea

South Korean food manufacturer Daesang Corp. will introduce U.K. curry brand Patak’s in Korea, following an agreement signed with the Indian curry paste producer on Thursday.

Patak’s is a leading brand in the United Kingdom that offers authentic Indian cuisine products such as sauces and pastes. About 75 percent of Indian restaurants in the U.K. use the brand’s sauces and seasonings.

Daesang will introduce four products from the brand, including Butter Chicken Sauce, Korma Sauce, Tikka Masala Sauce, and Balti Sauce.

“With the increasing consumer interest in diverse foods and unique flavors, we are launching global brand Patak’s products so that consumers can easily experience exotic cuisines at home,” said a Daesang official. “We will gradually expand our product categories with items such as naan to accompany curries and cooking kits that allow for easy preparation of authentic Indian dishes.”
