AmorePacific’s Etude House opens store in UAE, first in Middle East

Etude House, a make-up brand of South Korea’s cosmetics giant AmorePacific Group, has become Asia’s first make-up brand to open a standalone store in the Middle East.

AmorePacific Group said on Monday that Etude House opened its first store at the Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world by total area boasting more than 80 million visitors a year, in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. The group also plans to open Etude House store at the Avenues Mall in Kuwait on Thursday and in Saudi Arabia within the first half of this year to broaden its business in the Middle Eastern countries.

Etude House launched special colors for its best-selling products including Double Lasting Foundation, Dear My Blooming Lips and Real Powder Cushion to meet the needs of the Middle Eastern consumers. An official from AmorePacific said that they studied makeup trend in the Middle Eastern markets for a long time to develop special products for local people.

Meanwhile, AmorePacific’s natural skincare label Innisfree also opened its first store in Tokyo, Japan, last Friday. The two-story building sitting on an area of 185.6 square meters in Omotesando district has a living green wall outside to appeal its eco-friendliness to consumers.
