Doosan Infracore sports latest engine tech at power event in Dubai

South Korea’s leading construction equipment maker Doosan Infracore Co. said on Wednesday that it unveiled its latest electronic engine technology for generators at the largest power event of the Middle East in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

According to the company, DX12 is a high performance, environmentally-friendly engine that applies new technologies such as common rail system that supplies and spouts diesel fuel at high pressure and high efficient selective catalytic reduction system that blocks release of toxic substances. Doosan Infracore unveiled DX12 for the first time at Middle East Electricity, a three-day trade show for the power sector that kicked off on Tuesday.

At the event, Doosan Infracore also presented five other newly developed electronic models including small D24 and D34 engines, medium and large DX22 and DL08 engines, and GE08 gas engine. The company also introduced indigenously developed post-processing components such as equipment that reduces harmful objects in exhaust gas that satisfies stringent new regulations.

An unnamed official from Doosan Infracore said that it hopes to find new client sources not only in the Middle East but also in advanced markets in Europe and North America by participating in the latest electrical engineering exhibition by presenting a diverse range of products.

Middle East Electricity is the largest power exhibition of the Middle East that was attended by 1,615 exhibitors from 66 countries last year. Doosan Infracore has been attending the annual event since 2014 to present new technologies and engines for generators and enhance partnership with dealers and original equipment manufacturers.
