Korea’s food company Our Home to operate hotel business in Vietnam

South Korea’s foodservice and catering provider Our Home Ltd. will enter the Vietnamese hospitality industry by partnering with HTM Management Consultancy Co. to operate a hotel scheduled to open in 2020 in Hai Phong, the company said Wednesday.

It will become the first Korean food company to operate a hotel business in Vietnam. Construction of the hotel will begin this month and finish by the end of 2019. Located at the center of Hai Phong city, the 14-story hotel with two underground floors sitting on an area of 6,744 square meters will house 105 rooms, restaurants, bars and a fitness center. Our Home will be in charge of overall hotel operation and give a percentage of profit to HTM.

Hai Phong is the Vietnam’s third largest city after Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi. It is a major commercial and transportation hub in the northern coast of Vietnam as it has one of the three largest ports of the country, international airport and many highways. HTM picked Our Home as its business partner thanks to its long-time experience in foodservice, convention and hotel businesses, Our Home said. According to an official, the company will step up efforts to expand its business in the rapidly growing market in the northern Vietnam with a close cooperation with HTM.
