Galaxy S9+
The Korean IT giant received the Best New Connected Device for its new flagship smartphone Galaxy S9+, the Best Mobile VR or AR for Samsung Gear VR with Controller and the Best Mobile Innovation for Payment for Samsung Pay.
SK Telecom, Korea’s largest teleco, received the Best Mobile Innovation for Enterprise for its LiveCare service and KT received the Best Mobile Innovation for Health for KT Digital Healthcare Solution and Platform “m-Hospital.”
The GLOMO Awards hosted by the GSMA recognize the best technology in mobile industries and winners are selected by a judging panel of world-leading independent experts, analysts, journalists and academics.
China’s Huawei was the most decorated company among the MWC 2018 exhibitors with eight awards including the Best Mobile Network Infrastructure, the Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough and the Best Network Software Breakthrough.
Huawei showed off its technology with a focus on the industry’s latest 5G equipment and solutions as the main sponsor of the event. Huawei got the best scores in the areas of 5G Ready Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) Radio Family, 5G Ready CloudAIR Solution and 5G Core Solution.
Apple received the Best Smartphone 2017 for its iPhone X and the Disruptive Device Innovation with Apple TrueDepth Camera.
