Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Park Yong-maan has been reappointed for a second term, raising the possibility for an extended three-year term as the chief of the broader Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).

The Seoul CCI said on Wednesday its head Park Yong-maan would serve his second term as the 23rd chairman as Park received unanimous vote at a general assembly held on the same day.

The head of the Seoul CCI traditionally co-chairs as the chairman of KCCI, Korea’s oldest and largest business organization that represents about 180,000 member companies.

KCCI and Seoul CCI heads can serve up to two terms, or six years. Park started his first term in 2015 as the 22nd chairman of the two chambers. He was the acting chairman from August 2013 amid leadership vacuum because his predecessor Sohn Kyung-shik, CJ Group Chairman, stepped down with 18 months left in his term.

At the latest general meeting, Lotte Corporation CEO Hwang Kag-gyu, SK Innovation CEO Kim Jun and Hanil Cement President Huh Gi-Ho also were reappointed as Seoul CCI Vice Chairman. The general assembly for the election of KCCI chairman will be held on March 22.
