South Korea’s LG Electronics Inc. will ramp up its marketing efforts for new organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TVs fitted with its artificial intelligence (AI) system dubbed ThinQ in North America and Europe, the biggest markets for its OLED TVs.

The company announced on Wednesday that it has launched a roadshow in Germany to showcase its new products. The promotional event kicked off in Cologne on Tuesday (local time), and the company will travel to other major cities in the country including Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt onwards with its new products.

It also plans to hold a similar event to unveil its new OLED TVs in Korea early next month and an OLED technology seminar separately in Los Angeles in the U.S. and Madrid in Spain in mid-March.

The company has decided to promote its new OLED TV models first in Europe and North America because the two regions are the biggest markets responsible for almost 70 percent of total sales of its OLED TVs last year.

LG OLED TVs have received top rankings for high performance by non-profit consumer review magazines in 12 countries including the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Spain and France last year. An official from LG Electronics said that the company will redouble its efforts to promote LG AI OLED TV that won Best TV Award at CES 2018 for its technological prowess enabling users to control functions like changing channels and adjusting volume with voice commands.
