South Korea’s Kosdaq-listed mobile game publisher Com2uS Corp. reported record-high revenue in the final quarter and earnings for the full 2017 after its mobile game Summoners War hit jackpot overseas.
Com2uS said in a regulatory filing on Friday, its operating profit for the final quarter last year rose 14.6 percent to 48.6 billion won ($45 million) from a year ago on record revenue of 136.3 billion won.
For full 2017, its operating profit jumped to an all-time high of 197.2 billion won. Revenue reached 511.7 billion won, of which 444.8 billion won, or 87 percent, came from abroad.
As of 1:25 p.m. Friday, shares of Com2uS were 0.2 percent down at 147,800 won from the previous session.
It attributed its robust performance to Summoners War’s popularity in North America, Europe and Asia. The company is to release new role-playing label Chain Strike in March.
