Premium fashion powerhouse Louis Vuitton has opened its official online store in South Korea targeting younger-generation consumers in their 20s and 30s who actively shop at e-commerce sites even for luxury goods. This is the French house’s fourth online shop in Asia.

Following the opening of the online store, Korean consumers can now shop Louis Vuitton’s products at Louis Vuitton Korea’s official website. Currently available are watches, jewelries, leather goods, accessories, travel bags and perfumes. The brand plans to add more items such as clothing and footwear later. Delivery service will be offered to all across the country including Jeju Island, the company said.

The French luxury fashion house opened its first brick-and-mortar store in the country in 1991. The French fashion brand started its first online sale in 2005 in France and then expanded it to the UK, Germany, Spain and the U.S. Korea is its 12th destination in the world and fourth in Asia after Japan, Australia and China.

Like Louis Vuitton, leading global upmarket fashion brands are no longer shunning e-commerce sites amid growing popularity of online fashion malls among young consumers who are accustomed to online shopping.

Gucci opened its official online mall in 2011, followed by Burberry and Salvatore Ferragamo. Dior in 2016 chose Korea as the first area for its online sale in Asia.
