Kia Motors teases concept SUV unveiling at Indian auto show next week

Kia Motors’ SP concept car
It is the first time for the Korean automaker to unveil an image of “SP” concept car with which it hopes to make strides in the world’s fifth-largest auto market.
Kia Motors’ SP concept car is a strategic compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) customized to appeal to Indians whose auto demand has been rapidly growing in line with improvement in living standards.
The automobile market in India has grown more than 7 percent annually in recent years with output reaching 4.17 million cars and sales 3.37 million cars in 2016. The country’s vehicle penetration rate is still low with 32 cars per 1,000 people, making it attractive market for carmakers.
Kia Motors struggling in China will invest $900 million to expand sales network in India. The automaker has already held road shows in four regions in the country in August, last year and expanded dealer network.
The Auto Expo 2018 expected to draw 500,000 visitors will be held in India’s capital New Delhi Feb. 8-14,
