Hyosung unveils green fabric at ISPO Munich 2018

Hyosung said on Monday it has joined this year’s ISPO Munich being held for four days from Jan 28 to 31 (local time) to introduce its new thread products dubbed "MIPAN regen aqua-X” and “regen cotna” that are environmentally friendly. Regen is fiber made from recycled products such as discarded PET bottles, according to the company.
The Korean maker is also presenting the products jointly developed with its partner companies at home and abroad. Among them are fabrics for various outdoor clothing using its threads that were developed in cooperation with Korea’s Sejong Textile and Hyundai Chemical.
Europe’s outdoor product retail market was estimated at 5.5 billion euros ($6.8 billion) as of 2016, and the outdoor clothing market alone 2.8 billion euros, poised for a steady growth.
ISPO is the world’s biggest outdoor leisure and sports clothing and goods trade show. About 2,700 exhibitors from 57 countries joined last year’s event to present their latest clothing and leisure products for sports and outdoor activities.
