South Korea’s leading construction equipment maker Doosan Infracore Co. clinched a deal with a Norwegian company to supply 20 articulated dump trucks, the largest single order for the dump vehicle since the Korean company started to sell the line.

Doosan Infracore said on Tuesday it won an order from a Norway-based equipment rental company to supply 20 ADTs with a 40 ton payload capacity.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Articulated haulers are big, heavy-duty dump trucks used in mining operations and construction sites to transport large loads over rough terrain.

Doosan Infracore attributed the win to DoosanCONNECT, its proprietary telematics solution that enables a truck operator to monitor in real-time a range of information including truck location, operating hours, fuel usage and distance.

“Our six-wheel drive ADT is recognized for its enhanced safety as it is able to distribute the weight load more evenly,” said a Doosan Infracore official.

The company said it aims to further penetrate the Norwegian market by boosting ADT sales and bolstering maintenance services.

As of 2:09 p.m., shares of Doosan Infracore were down 2.2 percent at 11,100 won ($10.34).
