South Korea’s Lotte Duty Free on Friday unveiled plans to introduce premium figures through its own online direct purchasing mall, Ginza Japan Direct.
The initial offerings will include premium figures, featuring Nendoroid characters from the popular Japanese animation “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.”
Customers can also explore globally beloved bear-shaped figures of BE@RBRICK, and figures from the renowned art toy brand Pop Mart.
Lotte Duty Free plans to launch new brands at its online direct purchasing mall and introduce various events to attract customers, as the amount of direct sales to Japan in Korea is increasing due to the prolonged low yen.
The 730 products available on “Ginza Japan Direct” have all been directly sourced from Lotte Duty Free’s Tokyo Ginza store. Offering a variety of items such as konjac jelly, the prices on the direct purchasing site are about 30 percent cheaper than those on other Japanese direct purchase platforms.
Customers can enjoy free shipping within an average of five days for online purchases, with a minimum order amount set at 50,000 won ($37.7). Additionally, Lotte Card users can benefit from a billing discount if their payment exceeds 100,000 won.
