South Korea’s Yujin Robot Co. said on Monday it will participate in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this year for the 15th straight year to demonstrate its latest service robots.
One of the robots to be unveiled at the world’s largest tech tradeshow is GoCart Mini, which will go around the exhibition area serving candies and sweets to visitors. It is an autonomous service robot designed to perform delivery and transport tasks in hospitals, hotels, manufacturing sites and other indoor facilities. It can navigate through crowds and maneuver around obstacles using its 3D sensors and laser scanners, according to the company. It is also capable of attaching and detaching containers depending on the task as well as connecting with elevators, automatic doors and other systems to facilitate movement.
Another robot that will be on display for the first time is the premium cleaning robot iClebo Omega Wi-fi. The company claims its powerful brushless DC motor allows for higher suction power while the advanced V6 rubber blade prevents hair tangles. It can be controlled remotely and monitored in real time via a mobile application. Sold in over 30 countries, iClebo has been named the world’s top product by Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for seven consecutive years.
The world’s largest electronics trade show will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada from Jan. 9-12, 2018.
