LG to unveil three new CLOi service robots at CES

LG Electronics Thursday added three new models in its service robotics fleet -- Serving Robot, Porter Robot and Shopping Cart Robot -- under the brand name of CLOi. The new three robots will be making a public debut at the CES in Las Vegas next Tuesday.

The Serving Robot is designed to serve guests food or refreshments with its built-in sliding tray at hotels and airport lounges. The Porter Robot carries your bags at hotels and allows you to check in and out through its automatic payment system without visiting the front desk. The Shopping Cart Robot has a barcode reader to help shoppers check out prices and products at supermarkets.

The new robots follow in the footsteps of the company’s existing four robots for guiding, cleaning, lawn mowing and home serving that are also part of the CLOi family.

CLOi implies the meaning of ‘clever’ and ‘close’, according to the company, which aims to develop its robot business systematically with a lineup of robots to provide easy and reliable services to customers.
