South Korea’s budget carrier Jin Air Co. has started servicing flights to Johor Baharu, the second largest city in Malaysia. Jin Air said it held a ceremony on Tuesday for the maiden flight leaving the Incheon International Airport in Korea.
Jin Air is the first Korean carrier to offer regular flight to Johor Baharu. Boeing 777-200ER with 373 seats is deployed on the new route between Incheon and the Malaysian city, flying Tuesday and Friday until March 2. The one-way flight takes about six hours and 40 minutes, the company said.
By adding the new destination, Jin Air now runs 40 routes - 36 to offshore destinations and four at home.
Johor Baharu is the state capital of Johor in southern peninsular Malaysia, just a bridge across Singapore. With warm climate throughout the year, the area is rich with leisure and tourist attractions.
