South Korea’s Internet of Things (IoT) platform developer HandySoft Inc. has teamed up with Indonesian smart solution specialist Corea System Indonesia to advance into the Indonesian smart office market.

HandySoft said on Sunday that the company and Corea System Indonesia will provide smart meeting room solutions to Telkomsel, wireless provider unit of Indonesia’s largest telecom company PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom Indonesia). The two firms plan to install IoT-based solutions in Telkomsel’s 130 meeting rooms by early 2018.

HandySoft’s smart meeting room service allows its user to monitor and control settings of each room via a smart phone application. The user can, for example, remotely turn on or off air conditioners to adjust room temperature and efficiently manage power.

The Korean IoT solutions provider plans to strengthen collaboration with Corea System Indonesia to expand its reach in the Indonesian IoT services market, said a HandySoft official.

HandySoft offers various IoT-based smart solutions ranging from smart home to smart anti-theft system. It registered an operating profit of 1.9 billion won ($1.7 million) on revenue of 36.9 billion won in 2016.

At 2:23 p.m. Monday, shares of Kosdaq-listed HandySoft were up 2.44 percent at 6,730 won.
