An advertisement of Samsung Electronics conceptualized by Cheil India to promote the brand’s customer service campaign has been chosen by YouTube as the world’s highest-viewed advertising video for 2017.

The ad campaign showcasing the company’s initiative of taking customer service to the doorsteps of consumers in the hinterlands is claimed to have crossed 150 million views on the Google-owned streaming giant recently.

It is meaningful that a Korean business ad claimed the most viewed ad video on YouTube for the first time, said a Cheil Worldwide official.

Going for the heartstrings, the four-minute video features a Samsung employee who crosses a variety of obstacles to repair a TV for a group of vision-impaired children just in time for their favorite show. The ad crossed 100 million views in just eight weeks of its launch, the highest level in history of ad videos watched in India on YouTube.

The commercial bagged Silver and Bronze for the Samsung Service film at ADFEST 2017 held in Thailand last March. It also received Silver at the 2017 Epica Awards, one of the most prestigious awards competitions in Europe, and a special award in Korea.
