Diageo Korea Co., the local unit of British whisky brand Diageo PLC, said on Friday that it sold more than 100,000 bottles of low alcohol whisky-based spirit W Signature 12 in just one month after its launch in October.
According to multiple industry sources, 104,000 bottles of W Signature 12 were delivered to retailers for sale as of Nov. 30, surpassing 100,000 bottles in the first month after its launch in October.
W Signature 12, a spirit drink made from a blend of minimum 12-year-old Scotch whiskies, has been blended by world’s three renowned master blenders Douglas Murray, Craig Wallace, and Caroline Martin.
Diageo Korea has launched a series of low-alcohol drinks since it first introduced the W by Windsor spirit with alcohol content of 35 percent in 2015 amid rising demand for milder and smoother spirits.
