Thinkware Systems releases auto air purifier Blue Vent

Blue Vent installed with sensors can monitor and detect air pollutants such as fine dust particles in real time. It features light-emitting diode (LED) lights that indicate air quality status and particulate levels inside the vehicle.
The air cleaner available for 159,000 won ($146) can also be used at home by plugging it into a wall socket.
An official from the company said the demand for car air purifiers has been rising amid the worsening air quality in the country due to fine dust. Blue Vent equipped with a triple filtration system can eliminate bacteria and harmful gases as well.
Thinkware generated 126.2 billion won in sales from its mainstay black boxes as of the end of last year, accounting for 68 percent of its entire sales. Market experts suggest that the company is seeking to diversify its products by releasing a car air cleaner as competition in the nation’s black box market is getting fiercer.
As of 2:36 p.m. on Monday, shares of Kosdaq-listed Thinkware Systems rose 2.26 percent to 11,300 won from the previous session.
