Green Cross Corp., a South Korean pharmaceutical company, has clinched a record $42.9 million single deal to export IV-Globulin SN (IVIG-SN), a blood product, to Brazil.

IVIG-SN is one of the company’s key pure blood products that are used to treat various diseases, including congenital immunodeficiency disease and immune thrombocytopenia.

The company said Wednesday the latest deal is larger than the entire shipment of IVIG-SN it had exported throughout last year and 67 percent higher than its $25.7 million contract with the Brazilian government in the past year

“Green Cross sees its market share grow both in the Brazilian private market as well as the country’s public market,” a company official said. The fresh supply to Brazil will begin next year.

Shares of Green Cross fell 3.35 percent to close at 231,000 won on Wednesday amid market-wide profit-taking from a recent bull run of healthcare stocks.
