Kakao and Samsung Elec cooperate in voice recognition and AI technologies

Kakao said it would merge its artificial intelligence platform Kakao I with Bixby, the voice-activated personal assistant of Samsung Electronics.
Kakao’s services including Kakao Talk now can be activated by Bixby mounted on Samsung Electronics premium phones.
Starting from the second half of this year, the two companies will roll out fruits of their combined forces and expand the cooperation to home appliance, Internet of Things (IoT) and wearable technologies.
Bixby is an intelligent interface that keeps evolving by its users based on its iterative deep learning technology. The Korean-version started its service in Korea in May. It began understanding both English and Korean from July. The double language version so far has been proliferated to about 200 countries.
