The South Korean government is poised to set Oct. 2 a temporary holiday to give its people longest 10-day holiday streak.
A series of national holidays - National Foundation Day (Oct. 3) and Hangul Day (Oct. 9) - coincidentally fell this year with the Chuseok (Lunar Moon) holiday from Oct. 4 to Oct. 6, providing Koreans a rare long holiday.
“Making Monday (Oct. 2) also a bonus holiday will give greater quality time for families and aid spending,” said the Blue House.
