Hanwha Corporation, the holding company of South Korea’s Hanwha Group, said on Monday that it won a contract to provide equipments and services for an Indonesian miner at the GBPC mine in Kalimantan, Indonesia, northeast of Jakarta.

The latest deal would make Hanwha earn 50 billion won ($44.7 million) from providing mining services in Indonesia since 2012.

Under the consignment deal, the company offers SIMS explosives for mining, drilling and blasting services as well as the carry-out service of refuse, rock with no mineral content.

Hanwha already has an eight-year supply contract with another miner NBI that has been working on one of mines in the Pasir regency.

Hanwha Corp. has been supplying industrial explosives with its own manufacturing facilities to the Pasir mines since 2014.

“We aims to draw 30 billion won contracts in Indonesia until 2023 to achieve more than 300 billion won in revenue from overseas mining services,” said Hanwha Corp. CEO Choi Yang-su.

The company hopes to expand its mining services to Australia, Chile, and South Pacific region.
