South Korea’s midsized cosmetics brand Dr. Jart+ joined the Beauty Inc. Top 100, annual ranking of top-selling beauty products and makers by U.S. online fashion journal Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) based on last year’s annual sales.

It noted Have & Be Co., the Seoul-based owner of Dr. Jart+ brand, made the biggest sales jump of 172 percent on year to 234.7 billion won ($209.5 million) in 2016 among beauty makers across the world. WWD pointed to its strides and success in Asian and other markets.

Dr. Jart+ has gone beyond China and its products are available in the U.S. and 31 other markets including Germany, Russia and the Middle East. They are sold at shops of Sephora, the world’s largest beauty retailer run by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy.

Dr. Jart+ is moving into the Latin American region in the second half of this year. The brand has high hopes for the burgeoning demand for beauty care in South America, a company official said.

“Dermask” facial sheet mask made of rubber is one its bestsellers, selling 70 million units across the world. It was picked as the most innovative beauty products by Sephora.

WWD also highlighted Dr. Jart+’s flagship store “Filter Space in Seoul” that opened at the fashion street Garosu-gil in southern Seoul as it offers innovative space for healing instead of merely selling products.
