It hosted 2017 SK Global Forum in the Westin Jersey City Newport Hotel in New Jersey last Saturday (local time) and would hold similar event at the Marriot Santa Clara Hotel in California on Thursday in hopes to recruit elites studying and residing in the U.S.

The New Jersey presentation introducing the group’s strengths and visions was led by SK Innovation Chief Executive Officer Kim Jun and head of talent development committee Seo Jin-woo to draw talents in the areas of energy, chemical, and bioengineering.

Executives of major units SK Innovation, SK Chemical, SK Biopharmaceuticals and SK Materials elaborated on their progress in research and development.

SK Group aims to be the first not only in Korea, but also in the global market, said Kim in explaining the purpose of the global recruitment campaign.

Hunt for ICT and technology brains would be carried out in the technology hotbed Silicon Valley on Thursday. The second forum will be hosted by Seo and SK CEO Park Sung-wook and backed by ranking officials from SK Telecom, SK Hynix and SK C&C.

“SK Global Forum will not only benefit SK Group but also contribute to strengthening Korea’s competitiveness,” said Cho Don-hyun, head of the group’s human resources department. “We will continue to hold recruitment events to reinforce our talent pools from home and abroad,” he added.
