Beesen Bio, a South Korean biotech company, announced it closed a contract Monday to export production lineup in bee venom-incorporated anti-aging mask packs and other products worth $270 million to China.

On May 30, a total of 400,000 BEE M4A (bee venom) mask packs will be shipped to Chinese DIA Group as the first batch of the two-year supply contract, the company said.

The active ingredient of BEE M4A is bee venom taken from natural honey bees grown at Korean farms that can activate collagen metabolism to slow skin aging.

The pure natural ingredient completely removes venom allergens or toxicity and has demonstrated higher efficacy in collagen metabolism than EGF, a well-known anti-aging substance.

Beesen Bio developed BEE M4A in cooperation with CHA Medical Center and the U.K.’s University of Strathclyde, and applied the new ingredient to mask packs, basic and body products in its cosmetics line.

DIA Group is interested in importing follow-up products under development from Beesen Bio, the company added.
