Hyundai unveils all-electric bus for deployment from 2018

The bus was showcased at its newly opened studio in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.
The outcome of an eight-year-long research and development (R&D) is powered by a 256 kilowatt-per hour (kwh) polymer battery to travel 290 kilometers (180 miles) on a single charge that takes 67 minutes for a charge. It can carry 27 passengers.
Hyundai Motor vowed to bolster the fuel efficiency of commercial vehicles by 30 percent and by 2020 introduce its own version of truck platooning, vehicle-to-vehicle innovation to operate trucks in close proximity through pre-set distance and wireless communication in the form of trains to improve highway safety and decrease truck fuel consumption.
