The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on Monday that it will open a four-day Seoul Goods Pop-up Store from February 1st, 2024, at Seongsu Scène in Seongsu-dong, a mecca for pop-up stores in the South Korean capital. The theme is ‘Seoul Life,’ which encapsulates the city’s charm, and will feature popular items such as Seoul City hoodies, as well as new products like Seoul Ramyeon.

Seongsu Scène, where the Seoul Goods Pop-up Store will be located, is a cultural complex in Seongsu-dong, one of the hot spots in Seoul, with a cafe on the first floor and a select shop on the second floor. The pop-up store will consist of three experience zones with the ‘Seoul Night’ Zone on the first floor, which symbolizes night in Seoul; ‘Seoulite’ Zone on the second floor, which represents Seoul’s people; and an Outdoor Zone with various experiences.

The Seoul Night Zone on the first floor features an LED exhibition of Seoul’s nightscape, and desserts using Seoul brand pictograms - three types of drinks and four types of chocolate gateau are available and free to the first 100 people who participate in the experience program.

On the second floor in the Seoulite Zone, visitors can play Seoul-themed trivia games and make Seoul Life postcards.

The city government explained that the space includes elements like Seoul’s new brand pictogram mascots Donghaengi and Maeryeogi, as well as Seoul merchandise like room slippers.

There will also be booths displaying and selling Seoul merchandise. Various products will be on display, including the hoodies often worn by Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, pouches, room slippers, mini brooms, and incense sticks. Seoul Ramyeon, which offers a delicious taste of the city, will also be on display for the first time. The Seoul city government developed the ramyeon in collaboration with Pulmuone Co., one of the country’s leading food companies.
