Doosan Group’s Park Jin-won returns to group’s management

According to sources from the investment banking industry on Sunday, the younger Park was named a vice chairman of Neoplux Co., an investment company of Doosan Group. He had left the group in 2015 for personal reasons but made a comeback to head the company responsible for the group’s investments.
An official from the business circle said Park has been showing outstanding talent for management among fourth-generation heirs-apparent of Doosan Group and his return would have a significant impact on the group’s fourth-generation succession in management.
Park had started his career in 1994 at Doosan’s beverage unit and led the group’s reorganization and business realignment at Doosan Corp. between 2001 and 2004. He headed Doosan Industrial Vehicle, a manufacturer of forklift trucks. “With his various experiences and personal connections, Park would be able to create synergy effects in capital investment business,” said an official from Doosan Group.
Doosan paved the way for fourth-generation succession in management in March last year when former group chairman Park Yong-maan handed over his chairmanship to his nephew Park Jeong-won.
