Samsung Pay now available for Gear S3 smartwatches in Korea

Samsung Electronics Co. said the new Gear S3 smartwatch series available in Korea would be mounted with mobile wallet program Samsung Pay.

The mobile pay would be serviced from Tuesday on the Gear S3 series launched in September last year. The service would allow users to pay with their watch.

The Samsung Pay for Gear S3 supports Samsung, Hyundai, Hana, and Lotte credit cards and will include KB Kookmin Card within this month.

Current S3 users can use the mobile wallet service to pay for purchases at both online and offline stores through credit and debit cards added to Samsung Pay or Samsung Pay Mini app after a software upgrade to the latest version. Samsung Pay Mini is a mobile wallet service for non-Samsung android-based mobile devices.
