South Korea’s second largest automaker Kia Motors Corp. unveiled facelifted version on flagship sedan K5, and a higher-performance cousin K5 GT.
According to Kia Motors on Monday, the K5 GT is an upgraded version to the existing K5 with a 2.0-liter turbo engine for dynamic-driving performance with enhanced brake features.
The K5 GT sports low-steel brakes for extra durability and safety by minimizing brake fade caused by repeated brake-stepping.
Its new design comes with red brake calipers in the front and rear wheels and black-colored rear spoiler and outside mirrors, along with light-weight alloy wheels. The K5 GT is priced at 32.95 million won ($28,719).
Kia’s 2018 K5 features dark-chromed radiator grille, headlamp and air curtain to augment its luxurious design.
The 2018 K5 is presented in three engine types - 2.0-liter gasoline, 1.6-liter turbo gasoline and 1.7-liter diesel - which are priced around 22.7 million to 31.3 million won, respectively.
