Samsung QLED TVs gets kudos from global tech experts

According to Samsung Electronics on Thursday, German-based audio-video system review magazine Video rated Samsung’s QLED TV Q9 series 920 points on a 1,005-point scale. It reportedly is the highest score that the magazine has ever given out to any reviews since its foundation. Also, the QLED TV Q9 series is the first TV that received acclaims on all three evaluation categories - reference, innovation, and highlight, the company said.
Samsung’s QLED TV offers the best high dynamic range picture technology, providing excellent brightness and clear pictures, said the magazine.
The Korean electronics maker claims that its QLED TV achieved 100 percent color volume and a light output of 1,500 nits or above for the first time in global TV history to display images as naturally as possible.
John Archer, writing on Forbes’s technology blog, raved that “the brightest elements in high dynamic range images look much more explosive and extreme than they did even on Samsung’s flagship TV from 2016.” He called Samsung QLED TV’s external ‘One Connect’ box that connects the TV and peripheral equipment via a single cable as “an innovation” of this year.
Last month, Samsung Electronics pledged to lead the new trend of Lifestyle TV, which it describes as TVs that can integrate into everyday lives under its new vision for TV business dubbed ‘Screen Everywhere’ at Samsung QLED TV Media Day event in Seoul. It also held a global launch event of the QLED TV at the Louvre in Paris earlier in the same month.
