Lotte Group forced to look inward after being bombarded with clampdown and boycott in China over its yielding of site for U.S. missile system will be hold unprecedented month-long sales event timed with the 50th anniversary of the group’s foundation and the April 3 opening of the nation’s tallest building Lotte World Tower.

The group’s 14 retail arms including Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart, Lotte.Com and Hi-Mart will join the event dubbed Lotte Grand Festa that kicks off on Thursday. Lotte said it is the first time for its all 14 retail units to hold a sale event at the same time.

The month-long local promotional event also comes after the country’s retail mogul has been making all out efforts to recover from the blows following China’s retaliatory measures against the group due to the Korea’s deployment of an U.S. antimissile system in the land that it agreed to yield to the government.

During the event, 12,300 customers will be given prizes including vouchers for free stays at the six-star hotel The Signiel Seoul, tickets for observatory of the 123-story Lotte World Tower and free passes for Lotte World Mall facilities.

Online and offline stores of the retail units across the nation will have 1 trillion won ($897 million) worth products in discount offer during the month-long sale period. Lotte Department Store will offer 10 percent to 30 percent discounts on more than 750 brands from Thursday to April 16. Lotte Mart will also give customers up to 50 percent off on products including beef, pork and fish.

The electronic goods retailer Lotte Hi-Mart will offer discounts for 17 items including TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and laptop computers until April 24. Lotte Home Shopping will broadcast live the opening ceremony of Lotte World Tower on April 2 and host a special program for Lotte Rent-A-Car by putting up a car of Mercedes-Benz as a top prize.
