U.S. electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors Inc. has set the initial price of its latest Model S that will be officially launched in Korea in May at 130 million won ($113,995).

According to the auto industry Thursday, Tesla Motors Korea, the local distributor of the car, on Wednesday sent out e-mails to local customers who have placed pre-orders for the Model S 90D to inform they could confirm their purchase on its website. The Model S 90D is initially priced at 130 million won and could cost as high as 156 million won after add-ons.

The automaker notified the Korean customers can now visit a design studio on its website to customize their own Model S by choosing their own options ranging from car color, wheel size and interior to its driver assist system Autopilot. It normally takes about three months for a customer to receive the Model S after Tesla starts to produce the model in its factory in the United States upon getting an order from the customer.

For now, the Model S 90D is the only model that could be purchased in Korea, as it recently won the local government’s certification. The U.S. automaker plans to expand its offering by winning additional approval from the government.

The full-electric sedan touts the government-certified driving range of 234.9 miles (378 kilometers) per single charge, by far the longest among all electric cars currently available in Korea. Hyundai Motor Co.’s IONIQ can go as far as 118.7 miles per charge, Kia Motor Corp.’s Soul 92 miles, Nissan Motor Co.’s LEAF 82 miles and BMW i3 82 miles.
