Globally renowned industrial designer Torsten Valeur has praised the upcoming LG G6 for design as “the ideal fusion of the beautiful shape and clever solution and obviously great user experience, which is the essence of what a smartphone is.”
Torsten Valeur, CEO of Danish design studio David Lewis Designers, is a recipient of multiple industry accolades such as the iF Design Awards and Good Design Awards. He worked in a design team for LG Signature ‘ultra premium’ products.
In a YouTube video (https://goo.gl/Ir0T4v) released by the Korean tech giant on Wednesday, Mr. Valeur shared his first impression of the new smartphone, saying it is the phone’s expansive screen with small, beautiful rounded corners.
He also praised the ergonomics of the company’s next-generation strategic smartphone for its easy one-handed operability owing to its firm-grip feel. The G6 exhibits minimalistic design elements and is perfectly smooth to the touch, he said.
“And I believe that when you take it out and hold it in your hand, turn it around, look at it, play with it, you should be pleased by all the care and diligence that has been put into all the details,” added Mr. Valeur.
G6 is officially released at the 2017 Mobile World Congress on Feb. 26 in Barcelona, Spain.
