GM Korea Co., the Korean unit of U.S. automaker General Motors Co. (GM) in business goal for 2017 set target to sell 194,000 cars and command 10 percent share in the Korean market through competitive models and reinforced after-sales service program.
Its CEO James Kim announced the plan during 2017 Chevrolet dealership workshop on Wednesday.
The carmaker sold 180,275 cars in Korea last year, up 13.8 percent on year. It achieved its best record yet, but still lags behind the target to win a 10 percent share.
GM Korea is more positive about achieving that milestone this year as it has ambitious models in the pipeline including the Chevrolet`s Bolt EV with drive range of 238 miles on a single charge.
