Korea’s Handsome lands in Chinese upscale fashion market

Handsome said Monday that its men apparel brand “System Homme” is opening its store in Hangzhou Tower, one of the biggest department stores in the mainland located at Wulin Square - where average floating population per day reaches 300,000 - in the heart of Hangzhou.
Handsome is targeting the upscale fashion market. It will open stores in department stores and shopping malls next to global luxury brands.
The fashion firm will launch its women and men apparel labels “System” and “System Homme” in Hangzhou Kerry Center, one of the largest shopping malls in Hangzhou.
Handsome will run stores for women’s label System and men’s System Homme separately in department stores and combine them in shopping malls.
The firm plans to open four stores in Hangzhou within the first half and six other stores in Shanghai and Beijing in the latter half this year. It targets 150 billion won ($128.5 million) in sales by 2020 by securing over 50 sales networks across China.
