South Korea’s cosmetics and personal care product giant LG Household & Health Care Ltd. said on Monday it will introduce the country’s first customized skin care product.

According to the company, it will launch “ReMede by CNP” that will offer customized skincare products based on individuals’ different skin types. The company on Wednesday will open the official outlet in the bustling shopping district near Ewha Womans University, crowded with young, trendy Korean shoppers and Chinese tourists, in western Seoul.

Customers, who want to buy a specially tailored skincare product, should make a reservation before visiting the store to get a one-on-one counseling and skin diagnosis with a dermatology expert at the shop. Based on the diagnosis, each customer will be provided with a specially designed “Serum Ex only for me” optimized to fit different individual skin types and conditions, the company said. The whole process from testing to customizing will likely take about 40 minutes and the serum would cost around 90,000 won ($77.08).

The serum will be made by combining one of base serums that come in three types - skin control, rebalancing and moisture boosting - and one of ampoules that are available in five kinds - pore care, facial lifting, wrinkle care, trouble care and skin whitening, according to the company.
