The much-hyped new mobile game Lineage 2: Revolution will be the first Korean mobile game that marks 100 billion won ($84.6 million) in sales just one month after its launch.

According to industry sources on Thursday, sales of Revolution published by the country’s top mobile game developer Netmarble Games Corp. are estimated to reach 100 billion won. The game company is scheduled to announce its monthly result next week.

Market experts say that the game’s one-month revenue to Saturday is likely to surpass that of Nintendo’s Super Mario Run. According to data from app analyst Sensor Tower, Nintendo generated an estimated $71 million in sales from the mobile game. The largest one-month sales after release were achieved by Pokemon GO whose tally reached $206 billion.

Netmarble’s Revolution is a mobile role-playing game developed based on intellectual property of Lineage series held by South Korean online game giant NCsoft Corp. Powered by Unreal 4 3D graphics engine, the game provides outstanding graphics on mobile devices.

The game developer had to expand its server storage twice in December last year to meet the needs of heavy traffic. Its sales exceeded 50 billion won two weeks after release and it is very likely that the game will top 100 billion won in sales this month.
