South Korea’s leading home appliance maker Samsung Electronics Co. unveiled two new premium household appliances lineups - Heritage and Modern - under Dacor, a luxury kitchen appliance maker it acquired last year, accelerating its efforts to win the world’s largest built-in home appliance market.

Dacor now under Samsung Electronics will showcase the new lineups developed in cooperation with the Korean electronics giant at The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show 2017 to be held between January 10 and 12 in the U.S, launching its full-fledged efforts. The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show is North America’s largest trade show for kitchen and bath companies, hosting over 2,500 exhibitors from all across the world annually and visited by over 120,000 attendees across diverse industries.

Dacor, founded in 1965, is leading luxury built-in home appliance brand in the U.S. and it had mostly outsourced home appliance products before the Korean electronics giant took over it. The two firms integrated Dacor’s expertise in built-in home appliance products and Samsung’s technological prowess to launch two new premium home appliance lineups - Heritage and Modern - that are upgraded from Dacor’s “popular and traditional originals,” the company said.

The Modern Lineup that the company is showcasing exclusively for selective clients features a completely different look by fully employing Samsung’s technology on top of applying graphite-stainless steels for the first time in the premium built-in home appliance industry, according to the company. Its upgraded ovens and ranges are Wi-Fi enabled, allowing users to control appliances with smartphones and refrigerator is designed to allow users to check what is inside without opening doors.

Separately, Samsung and Dacor will ramp up Dacor’s factory in Los Angeles to manufacture the new built-in refrigerators they designed together.
