All new Chevrolet Cruze to hit Korea next month

It would be GM Korea’s first full facelift model release in nine years. Cruze has sold more than 40 million units around 100 countries.
Sales of midsize sedans which accounted for 15.7 percent of the total domestic new car market in 2011 dipped to 10.5 percent this year. GM Korea hopes to revive the midsize sedan market and expand its presence based on its competitive design.
The company has created a new family line of Chevrolet Cruze and expects the new product with a familiar look of Malibu and Impala will do equally well in the local market.
Cruze has sold 20,000 units a month since it was released in the North American market in March. The company is yet to determine the sticker price. Cruze in America cost about 3 million won ($2,566) more than the bottom prices of leading sedans Hyundai Motor`s Avante and Kia Motors` K3.
