Hyundai Global Service Co., ship repair and maintenance unit of the world’s largest shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., on Tuesday began operation in the country’s largest port city of Busan.
The firm will be in charge of repair and maintenance services for 3,200 vessels built by its parent company Hyundai Heavy Industries. It targets revenue of 1 trillion won ($857.6 million) and increase its employees to 1,000 from the starting crew of 160 by 2022.
