LG Elec washers, fridges win hearts of European consumers

High-end washing machines and refrigerators of South Korea’s LG Electronics Inc. have been recently named as the best home appliance products by consumer review sites in Europe, winning the hearts of European consumers.

The Korean consumer electronics giant said on Thursday, British online review site Trusted Reviews selected LG Electronics’ all-in-one washer and dryer combo, model FH4A8FDH2N, as the winner of its Home Appliance of The Year and Large Appliance of The Year awards. Scoring 5 out of 5 by the consumer review site, the electronics maker’s 9-kilogram washer/6-kilogram dryer was “the finest washer/dryer we’ve ever tested,” according to the Trusted Reviews.

LG’s other front-load washers were also picked as the best of its kinds by Slovenian consumer review magazine Zveza Potrosnikov Slpvenije and Czech consumer review magazine dTEST for its 12-kilogram front-load washer and 8-kilogram front-load washer, respectively.

Its refrigerator is also gaining recognition for its great quality, the company said. In September, LG’s side-by-side refrigerator ranked top by renowned consumer review magazines in the Great Britain, Spain and Italy. Portuguese consumer reviews Deco Proteste also named it as the best side-by-side fridge for offering excellent energy efficiency level and outstanding refrigerating and freezing system.
