South Korea’s conglomerate Kolon Group appointed its 29 senior executives to new positions in the annual year-end management reshuffle on Wednesday.
Under the latest reshuffle, Lee Jin-yong, director at the group’s chemical and textile unit Kolon Industries Inc. management service division, was promoted to chief executive officer and senior executive vice president of IT service provider Kolon Benit, just two years after his last promotion.
Choi Suk-soon, CEO of the group’s automotive and life materials making unit Kolon Glotech Inc., was appointed as CEO of Kolon Fashion Materials Inc., co-heading the both firms.
Recognized for the successful development of cell therapy drug treating degenerative arthritis that delivered 500 billion won ($425 million) out-licensing deal with Japan to the group’s pharmaceutical company, Lee Beom-suk, bio business division executive director of Kolon Life Science Inc., and Kim Soo-jung, director of biopharmaceutical research institute under Kolon Life Science, were promoted to senior executive vice president and managing director, respectively.
Kolon Industries Senior Managing Director Choi Young-moo and Kolon LSI Senior Managing Director Kim Gwang-myeong were both named as senior executive vice president for their achievements in automobile tire cord and airbag business and house rental business, respectively.
