The Genesis G70 New York Concept

South Korea’s largest automaker Hyundai Motor Co. and its smaller affiliate Kia Motors Corp. is readying to roll out flagship and concept sedans next year in hopes to bolster sales at home and abroad.

According to the auto industry Friday, Hyundai Motor will release the G70 in the second half next year, the third addition to its stand-alone luxury brand Genesis. Its price tag above 40 million won ($33,985) will be in the same league with BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C Class, Audi 4 cars.

Kia Motors will unveil first-ever sports sedan, known only by its project name the “CK,” next year. It is expected to be based on the “GT4 Stinger,” the automaker’s concept car revealed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The name of Sports Sedan is unknown, and some expects something like the “K8.”

Kia Motors’ new, third-generation Kia Picanto (Morning) would be released early next year, after getting a face-lift in five years. The fourth-generation Kia Rio (YB) which made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September will also be released next year.
