Korean Air Lines Co., the nation’s largest full-service carrier, said it will increase flights to North America and Europe while cutting down on less popular routes to the Middle East to rationalize its fleet resources.

Starting April 2017, the airline will introduce direct flights from Incheon to Barcelona, the second largest city of Spain next to Madrid. The first direct flight from Northeast Asia to Barcelona will be available three times a week.

The airline will bolster flights to cities along the U.S. West Coast to meet high demand. From April, the five-day flight to San Francisco will also be available at night time. The twice-a-day flights will be increased to seven days from September.

The five-day flights between Incheon and Seattle will be expanded to seven days from May. The twice-a-day flight to Los Angeles will add another daily service during peak summer season.

Korean Air will stop servicing Saudi Arabian routes. The three-times-a-week flight from Incheon to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and the port city of Jeddah will cease to exist from February.
